This homemade Peppermint Mocha Creamer is better than the store-bought stuff and is so easy to make with only four ingredients and tastes like Christmas.
It is finally December and that means one thing to me: all christmas, all the time! I will come clean, my house has been fully decorated for Christmas since the day after thanksgiving. I just can’t wait and want to enjoy every second of this holiday that I can. And that begins with my morning coffee and peppermint mocha creamer. This tastes like Christmas in your mouth!
There are lots of options out there when it comes to peppermint mocha flavor in your coffee. There is the store-bought creamer, Starbucks lattes, and of course one of my old favorites the alcoholic version (more on that later). But the beauty of this homemade peppermint mocha creamer is that you can make it out of things you already have around the house and it is super easy to make and can keep in the fridge for up to a week.
When I lived in Texas with my best friend, that December was one of the most Christmas filled Decembers ever. We are both equally obsessed with Christmas and everything that goes with it. We began (almost) every morning with a Christmas movie and coffee with bailey’s and peppermint schnapps. Which worked at the time because neither of us had to be anywhere in the morning (I was working a 4pm-11pm shift and she was in grad school). But those days couldn’t last forever, so I needed to make my own creamer to have on hand and before I knew it peppermint mocha creamer was born.
One of the beauties of this recipe is that you can easily double or triple it depending on how much cream you want to have on hand! Have friends coming over for a christmas brunch? Triple it. Are you the only one in your house that likes peppermint mocha in their coffee? Make the standard batch. Also feel free to change the type of mile used, want something really decadent for Christmas morning? Use half and half. Need something for an every morning pick me up to get you through till christmas? Make it with 2% milk.
Be sure to add some whipped cream and crushed candy canes for those extra special moments! If you make this be sure to share on social media and tag me @chickandhercheese
